Trying to spend $400 on an order - conflicting information "in stock" then "order error at checkout" Finally on the 6th attempt it took my cc info and gave me a following day delivery date. 10 mins later I get an email message "items cancelled on your order"! I'm done with Home Depot - worst shopping experience ever.

I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere!!!!! I have been on the phone for countless hours trying to resolve my non-delivered item.
First date for delivery 5/18 - came and went no delivery- second date 5/27 - came and went, no delivery. Case escalated with HD and then the shipping status changes to suspicious consecutive times and dates - days go by no delivery, then status says delivered, received NOTHING was delivered. HD is allowing them a week to do a “dock search.”
I want this resolved! This is unacceptable to treat customers like they do not matter. I will NEVER in my life do business with homedepot.com - they should be out of the e-commerce game, they don’t know how to logistically handle it!
I will ultimately have to dispute the charges with my bank to get my money back because HD is useless at rectifying anything. I will be contacting the FTC, attorney general, and the BBB to hopefully remove their services from the internet. Completely and utterly disgusting practices they have going on. They do NOT care anything about their customers. They’ll take your hard earned money and walk away without a care in the world whether you’re satisfied or not.
DO NOT, I REPEAT…DO NOT give them your business! The frustration and aggregation is not worth it. Believe every single review listed here.

Accused of stealing items I had just paid for.

This happened at the 249 tomball parkway location but I feel this reflects the whole company.

How dare you come at me like I'm a thief when I just purchased my items and had the receipt in my hand. I immediately returned all I had purchased and will never shop here again. I went and returned the other item I had purchased online, the returning employee laughed in my face the whole time and and the manager VANESSA wouldnt even get off the phone to talk to me. Wow. This place is disgusting. How DARE YOU!

Update: I'm expecting calls from the regional and district manager and I want a written apology from the manager, associate who falsely accused me and the associate who laughed in my face. I consider that a reasonable request.

You can hear and see my video about the incident here https://www.instagram.com/tv/CQCQPVKgsSO/?utm_medium=copy_link

Poor Customer Service

I understand with the Pandemic that it isn't business as usual however recent attempts to contact the store regarding an messed up order resulted in me repeatedly wasting time on hold only to have the call drop. I wont be shopping there in the future despite the convenience but will drive to Newmarket and visit LOWES.

HOME DEPOT NEEDS TO FIRE CEO

Geez. After reading only 10 or 15 of these reviews, I see that the normal experience for people who order larger products from Home Depot end up screwed. I've had several smaller items delivered to me with no problem this year - the store is close so if there was a problem, I just went to the store in person. The people there are fairly nice and I go at 6 a.m. when they open before they get crabby after dealing with other humans. So, MY story involves a sliding glass door that has all but disappeared. I've called Home Depot three times - the reps just lie to me. One of them, Carla, kept me on the phone for 45 minutes, telling me she contacted the trucking company that was supposed to deliver the door and gave them my phone number to call me. By my third call to customer service, I heard strange background noises and realized that these reps are all working AT HOME, and that when they put you on hold, they are probably making their lunch or talking to their friends on their cellphones or watching TV. There are no supervisors to listen to their conversations or what they tell people. So not to go through every single detail, the door that was supposed to arrive on May 25 is still MIA. On May 28 I filed a "claim" that was supposed to be "officially researched", and yesterday I received a response to that claim that the door would be delivered yesterday, June 3. It was not. The WORST part of all of this is that Home Depot refuses to allow emails. No matter how many you get from THEM, you cannot reply. They want you to call - and like I said, that's a complete waste of time. I talked to three different reps and they all said different things - most of it untrue. Finally, I found a phone number for the truck company and the woman there told me that I didn't receive my door because they didn't have my phone number to call me to arrange a delivery. Home Depot didn't give them one, she said. So apparently, the employees at the truck company are too LAZY and too STUPID to call Home Depot and ask for my number. It's just completely and totally UNBELIEVABLY OUTRAGEOUS! And what is most distressing is that Home Depot doesn't care about their reputation - obviously. So at the moment, the truck company hasn't called me to schedule a delivery - I still wonder if they didn't lose or break the sliding glass door. Home Depot, as of yesterday, the rep I spoke to still says that the door will be delivered by the 16th - but the truck company stopped updating my tracking on May 27 with a note to call Home Depot for information. I filed a dipute with PayPal - usually within two weeks they will issue a refund if I didn't receive the product, but God only knows what Home Depot will tell PayPal as far as status because they don't know and they LIE. Needless to say, I'll never order anything from Home Depot online again - and Lowes Home Improvement is only a couple miles from me and I always buy my garden stuff from them and assorted other small things, so now I'm just going to give up on Home Depot for good. Does HD have a CEO??? Is he a crazy person who is running the company into the ground while getting huge bonuses to pay for his yacht and million dollar home? I don't understand why any company would operate like this.

I bought very expensive motorized…

I bought very expensive motorized blinds and had them installed by Home Depot. The blind in my bedroom quit working. There customer service is terrible. I have been trying for three weeks to get them to come and install the new motor. I have spent hours on the phone and still nowhere. I would never by anything of any significance from them again.

I placed an order for a Ryobi Hedge…

I placed an order for a Ryobi Hedge Trimmer on 05/25/21 from Oakland Park Fl. to be delivered to an address in Ft Lauderdale. The delivery charge was supposed to be $8.98. After my payment was made, the charge became $35. The Trimmer has not been delivered and is still at the store. The person I talked to at the store was no help, said to call back tomorrow. I live 5 hours away so I can't pick it up myself. Be careful with online Home Depot orders especially in Ft Lauderdale. Ken Walters

Went to Valparaiso

Went to Valparaiso, IN store for some lounge chairs and could not find them. Wasn't going to bother anyone and then Joe came and asked how we were doing. We told him we were looking for lounge chairs and he walked us out to the front of the store and there they were. He verified the price, went and got a cart for us to load them, and helped load them on the cart. Was so friendly and helpful! Joe made our day!

Horrible online order experience

Horrible online order experience! Ordered 20 pounds of rock over a month ago and UPS tracking shows it was due to be delivered 15 days ago but has yet to receive a shipping label. Still not here. Contacted Home Depot and they agreed to refund my money AFTER they receive the item back in their store. Disgusted in Galveston

Oh my god...what is wrong with these…

Oh my god...what is wrong with these big box stores that think they can get away with zero accountability. Oh wait...they can! Never never will I order from here again. I thought Lowe's sucked...specially ordering online. But Home Depot wins. You win Home Depot! CONGRATS!...for being the biggest waste of time. One part of my order was completely smashed. The other part never even arrived. Contacted customer service to be told they had not plans to actually provide customer service. Said I would have to dispute the missing item. Seriously, you would get better service making the item yourself. Or ordering it from some scam place. Your chances are better at receiving it.

Subzero rating

Katie bar the door if your first delivery fails (mine failed due to missing part even after calling to confirm all parts were included). A new delivery date will not be scheduled for you despite 7 hours of phone calls over 5 days. Avoid at literally all costs (I lost several hours and full days of work).
FYI the customer service people are nice but have zero information. Don't believe them - they try to please but can't.

I would give 0 Stars if possible!

I would post a no start review if it were possible. I have no problem with the items I purchased (or tried to purchase) so I guess 1 star is acceptable. I made a purchase online and in the Florence SC store location. The item I ordered online did not arrive on the date that I was given when I ordered so I had to have someone else pick it up for me as I had to work on that day (having previously taken the day off to pick up item on original delivery date) I contacted customer service and asked how to change the pick up person on my order and was told that I could not change the pick up person and I would have to pick the item up myself and I would have to do so within a 7 day time frame of the arrival at my local store. I explained that I could not pick up the item and that it was thru no fault of my own but because the item was delivered on the specified date. I was told sorry but you have to pick it up or get a refund, no exceptions. To say the least I was very upset about this as I had made a large purchase from the store to have my bathroom remolded. I tried to change my schedule but could not. In desperation I phone the local store and after a bit was able to talk to someone sympathetic to my problem and they arranged for my contractor to pick up my items within the specified 7 day period. I later went to the store and picked out several large items (a vanity and toilet and other bathroom items). In total I spent almost $2500. 00. When my contractor went to pick up my items he was told that the vanity I purchased was not in stock! How was it not in stock? I went to the store and a clerk checked that they had each item in stock before I purchased. I paid for the items (I did not order them) Yet at pick up they don't have the item. I even bought one that I really didn't want because it was in stock. Yet by magic they don't have it. So I have a bathroom torn out and no sink and vanity to put back. Oh but Home Depot gave me a refund for it so what more do I want? (What a person claiming to be the manager actually said to my sister!) Nice products, crap service. Maybe Lowe's isn't so bad after all!
